What You Need to Know About the New Reporting Law

Governor DeSantis signed new legislation amending Fla. Stat. 409.2576 on June 16, 2021.

The new law requires all Florida employers (regardless of company size) to report new hires and rehires to the State Directory of New Hires within 20 days of hire.

Two key changes: NO Minimum Size and Independent Contractors (who will be paid more than $600 or more per calendar year) must be be reported by employers.
